Tiers
Your tier sets three limits, all in dollars at rate-card prices. A new account starts at Tier 0, with no allowance until its first top-up. Tiers 1 and 2 come automatically. For Tier 3 or 4, open a support ticket from the portal and say what you run.
| Tier | Reached by | Per month | Per 24 hours | Unfinished at once |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | signing up | $0 | $0 | $0 |
| 1 | $10 paid in | $100 | $25 | $25 |
| 2 | $100 paid in and an account 7 days old | $1,000 | $150 | $150 |
| 3 | on request, through support | $5,000 | $750 | $750 |
| 4 | on request, through support | $25,000 | $4,000 | $4,000 |
Paid in counts card payments, less refunds and chargebacks. Promotional credit and referral rewards spend like money but do not raise a tier. The portal's Limits page shows your tier, where you stand against each limit, and what unlocks the next one.
The three limits
| Limit | Counts | When reached |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | What the account used this calendar month (UTC), plus work already admitted. | New work waits, and starts on its own next month or when the account reaches a higher tier. |
| Daily | What finished in the last 24 hours. | New work is refused until earlier usage leaves the 24-hour window. |
| Unfinished at once | The estimated cost of everything queued or running. | A submission that would go over it is refused whole. Split it, or wait for work to finish. |
A batch is checked whole, before any line runs: either all of it is accepted or none of it is. Your own monthly spend cap, set on the Billing page, still applies, and the lower of the two decides.
A refused request
A job, continuation or rerun over a limit gets HTTP 429 with code quota_exceeded.
The body says which limit, where the account stands, when it frees up and what raises it. A
batch over a limit fails validation with the same message as its error, and nothing in it is
charged.

}Platform safety hold
Otium also watches spend across all accounts. If it rises sharply, new work is held for a short while, never cancelled, and starts on its own when the hold lifts. Work already running carries on. A held job says so in its hold reason.
