Terms of Service

Last updated 16 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Spectrum Labs LLC, which runs Otium. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. We have kept them short and plain; if anything here is unclear, write to [email protected].

1. The service

Otium runs AI inference jobs you submit on open models, on compute we choose, within the deadline you pick. We may change, add or remove models, products and features. While Otium is in alpha, access is by invitation and the service may change quickly.

2. Your account

You must give us accurate information, keep your password, API keys and signed-in devices secure, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access. You are responsible for everything done with your account and its keys, including the cost of jobs they submit.

You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract. If you use Otium for an organization, you agree to these terms on its behalf.

3. Prepaid credit and payment

Otium is prepaid. You add credit to your account through our payment processor, Stripe, and the cost of each job is drawn from that balance when it completes, at the prices shown when you submitted it. If you turn on automatic refills, you authorize us to charge your saved payment method for the refill amount you choose whenever your balance falls below your threshold. You can turn this off at any time.

Paid credit does not expire while your account is open. Prices are in US dollars and do not include taxes, which you are responsible for where they apply. We never see or store your card details; Stripe does.

If your balance goes below zero, for example because a refund or chargeback removed credit you had already used, you owe us that amount, and we may hold new work until it is paid.

4. Refunds

You may ask for a refund of paid credit you have not used by writing to [email protected]. We refund it to the original payment method. Credit already used for jobs is not refundable. We may also refund a payment on our own initiative, for example one made in error.

If a payment earned promotional credit, refunding that payment removes the promotional credit it earned, in proportion to the amount refunded.

5. Promotional credit

We may offer promotional credit, such as matching what you pay up to a limit for a set period after your account opens. The terms of each offer are shown in your account. Promotional credit has no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash, and is never refunded. It is used like paid credit, and an offer ends on its stated end date or when its limit is reached.

We may end or change an offer for new payments at any time, and we may remove promotional credit obtained through abuse, error or a payment that is later refunded or charged back.

6. Disputed payments

Please contact us before disputing a payment with your bank; we will try to put things right. If you dispute a payment and the funds are withdrawn, we remove the disputed amount and any promotional credit it earned from your balance, and we may suspend your account while the dispute is open. If the dispute is decided in our favour, we restore the disputed amount. A dispute does not cancel what you owe for jobs already run.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use Otium to break the law; to infringe anyone’s rights; to create sexual content involving minors; to harass, defraud or deceive people; to build malware or attack systems; or in a way that violates the license or usage policy of the model you run. You may not try to get around our limits, billing or security, probe other customers’ data, or resell access without our agreement.

We may suspend or end access that breaks these rules, puts the service or other customers at risk, or that we are required by law to stop.

8. Your content

You keep all rights to what you submit and to the results. You give us only the rights needed to run your jobs and deliver the results. We handle your content as described on our Privacy & security page: it is encrypted with a key specific to your account, kept for 30 days after your job finishes so you can collect the results and then deleted (workflow assets you publish are kept until you purge them), never written to our logs and never used to train a model.

You are responsible for having the right to submit your content and for how you use the results. AI output can be wrong; check it before relying on it.

9. Models and third parties

The models Otium runs are open models published by others under their own licenses, and your use of their output is subject to those licenses. Otium runs on infrastructure from cloud providers and relies on services such as Stripe; we are not responsible for their outages, but we choose and monitor them with care.

10. Availability and deadlines

We work to finish every job within the deadline you chose, but a deadline is a target, not a guarantee. The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. During the alpha in particular, there may be interruptions, failed jobs and changes without notice.

11. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Spectrum Labs LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, and our total liability for any claim relating to Otium is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

You will defend and compensate us for claims by others arising from your content or your breach of these terms.

12. Ending your account

You can stop using Otium and ask us to close your account at any time; we will refund unused paid credit as described above. We may end your account with notice, or immediately for a serious breach of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive, including what you owe, promotional credit, liability and disputed payments, survive the end of your account.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For a material change we will tell you by email or in your account before it takes effect, and the date above will change. If you keep using Otium after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms; if you do not accept them, stop using the service and we will refund unused paid credit.

14. Contact
